Introduction for Students

This section provides you with resource materials to gain an understanding of taxes in Utah, and how taxes are used to benefit us and the communities we live in.

Tutorials and simulations have been developed which provide you an opportunity to conduct more in-depth research into an area that is of interest to you.

You will explore three primary taxes and how they affect your life:

• Sales and use tax
• Property taxes
• Individual income taxes
