Electronic Filing of Corporate & Partnership Returns

Utah has developed a new e-file program jointly with the Internal Revenue Service called the Fed/State MeF (Modernized Electronic Filing) Program. This program allows Utah corporations to electronically file both their federal and Utah corporate or partnership returns together, including federal forms 1120 and 1065, and Utah forms TC-20, TC-20S and TC-65.

The program is similar to the federal/state individual electronic filing program where both federal and state information is submitted at the same time. The IRS extracts its federal data and forwards the state data to the Tax Commission. No papers are required to be mailed to the agencies when filing electronically.

If you would like to use this program, contact your tax software vendor or accounting service to see if they support this.
